Deep-Sea Biology Society Travel Awards
The Deep-Sea Biology Society is pleased to provide a small number of Travel Awards to symposium attendees. These awards will help defray the costs of attending the symposium, but will not cover all of the costs. Only standing members of the Deep-Sea Biology Society are eligible for the award. To join the society please click here. Awards will be decided based on the quality of the abstract and financial need. Travel award applicants are required to submit an abstract to the symposium. Applications must be submitted through this form http://goo.gl/forms/gb0RkxjfT4 before June 15, 2016. Applicants will be notified about their application outcomes via email by mid-July. Questions about this award should be directed to Santiago Herrera: sherrera@alum.mit.edu.
Student Mentorship Program
During the symposium, there will be a student mentorship program, where students can meet with an established researcher in a similar field who will help to get them acquainted with the symposium and the attendees. The program will pair a subset of student attendees with more experienced attendees for an in-person mentoring experience. Would you like to be a part of the early career-mentoring program?
